Swapping grille from a 61 to a 64 ?
Can one of you walk me through the process of swapping out a 64 grille for a 4 light 61 grille please?
Since the supports are different, what will be involved in the swap? Details would be nice. Thanks there was a thread somewhere about wiring the 4 light grille with modern lights and relays?

Re: Swapping grille from a 61 to a 64 ?
From what I’ve read, the only difference in grille supports is the mounting holes for the headlight brackets which attach the grille to the truck. Just pull the later grille, hold the earlier version in position, mark and drill the holes, and bolt in place. This drawing shows the location of the attaching bolts on the 1960-61 grille:
A note on the wiring - everything from the radiator bulkhead back to the dimmer switch is the same regardless of whether the truck has 2 headlights or 4. The difference in the harness begins at the radiator bulkhead connector forward. Plugging in a 4 headlight grille harness will instantly connect the extra two headlights. Installing relays per the diagram are highly recommended however, along with upgrading all wiring to at least 14 gauge throughout. Original harnesses are severely undersized with 18 and 20 gauge wiring on the low beams and grounds respectively.

your 2 top outside holes are the same, I just bolt it on there, and the shoot a little spray paint over the other holes so you can find where to drill
