replaced heater core in my 87 why is the new heater cores niples not straight?
It's sitting in the heater box ready to install but the niples are not straight I looked at two of them and both were like this so I just took one of them it's an AC DELCO 19131974. Anyone else experience this when they replaced their heater core? I wouldn't have taken it but I looked at two that were exactly alike by AC DELCO.

When I replaced my heater core with an aftermarket copper one the nipples were a little bent, but not as much as yours. I would either return it and check the "straightness" of the replacement one or just leave the one yu have alone. I would not try to bend the nipples because they might crack internally. One the other hand, as long as the nipples are not cracked, I don't see what harm being bent would do.

I just wonder about it fitting through the holes it may or may not I haven't had enough back relief yet to try to see if they line up enough to go through!
