this 85 on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...m=160841504751
I would like to freshen my frame up like he did I like that amount of gloss it looks like a factory sheen not too shiny. Any idea what product he might have used? know of anything that will get me that look? he hasn't told me what he uses he just said it's undercoat in a can. |

Go up to the counter at O'Reillys and tell them you want a case of their cheapest undercoating in rattle cans. Viola.

Re: this 85 on ebay...
well the problem with that is you're gonna get rubberized undercoating that isn't a factory look and finish. I guess instead of undercoat I needed to have said frame/chassis paint although that seller did say "undercoat" but if thats what he used I wouldn't want to go that route I don't want a rough finish on my frame I just want it factory fresh looking.

Re: this 85 on ebay...
The cheaper undercoating is not very thick and does not have "grit" to it.

Re: this 85 on ebay...
On a side note, $17,300 and reserve not met?!?
I find it hard to believe, even for a 87k mile original truck, that it would get bid up to that, but more shocked that the reserve is higher???

Re: this 85 on ebay...
I agree my truck is nicer with less miles and I bet it wouldn't bring that no ebay..my guess him and his brothers and neighbors were bidding that truck up.

Re: this 85 on ebay...
Yeah, I believe there is something going on there. I've seen several trucks all original with less miles sell for about 9 to 12 G's. In all the years I've watched these trucks sell on eBay, I've yet to see one break 13,000. I'm not saying it hasn't happened, I just haven't seen it.

Use John Deere Blitz Black. Used it to paint my whole truck I love the semi gloss black look it has.

Original miles and paint but "restored" im sure. Unless that thing has never seen sun light or a rain drop a day in its life

As with any older classic truck or car....its worth what someone is willing to pay....some people have deeper pockets than others
