Weekend progress
Got the seat covers done , new carpet in and seat brackets made, at least the front. There were a few small issues with the Katzkins covers that slowed progress , but overall I'm happy.
Tomorrow on to design and fab of the console. Long term include 6.0 4l60e , lower stance and wheels and tires. I'm only on step one! |

Re: Weekend progress
I'm starting on the center console on Wedensday , tucked up under the dash, with a 7 inch gps nav system, built in cupholders, all door and lumbar switches moved in board and incorporating speakers.
Heres a question, I wanted to do it in black but my wife thinks that it will be too much. The body is dark grey with a lighter middle grey. How do you think it would look to use the main body color ? It would be the same color as the bottom of the dash. Think this would look good or would black be be the way to go. Thanks Keith |

Re: Weekend progress
I would use the body color, I think matching the dash would look better than matching the carpet.

Re: Weekend progress
i'd say, the same color you are using for the dash pad. black dash pad i think would look good with the seats and console. all other interior parts could be another color for contrast. to add a little bling and break up the seats and console....get a set of the billet cup holders like this http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=459571
and then add some billet knobs or switches or move your factory power window switches to the console...all this would look classy and custom
