Narrowed Control Arms
I have been 'bench exploring' some suspension/braking/wheel options and wondering what, if any, negative effects 1" narrowed control arms would have on the supension geometry. I assume that the camber, and therefore caster gain will be more aggressive, but is this necessarily a bad thing? What other possible side-effects (positive or negative) am I overlooking? Any and all input is appreciated

Re: Narrowed Control Arms
You could check with Heidts, they offer narrowed A-arms for Camaro, Nova and Chevelle. They would probably be able to tell you any pros/cons between stock/narrow set-ups. Just a thought.

Haha- yes, that is part of what is motivating these ideas. I can already out-drive the truck with its current power plant; that will quickly become an even bigger issue with more HP on tap. The truck needs suspension/brakes so I don't kill myself, or worse, wreck my truck!

Re: Narrowed Control Arms
Have you discussed this with Nate?
I know he make narrower control arms and the 1" forward version that helps center the wheel in the wheel opening. (and helps with caster adjustments). http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=537266

Re: Narrowed Control Arms
Was just about to post the same exact thing. Pros-Cons from narrowing .5" compared to 1"?
