84 GMC shortwide project

Here is my GMC project truck wit a 400 sbc & th350. Plan on getting it painted soon(not sure what color yet). I like the two tone but I think a light silver with red pinsripes and gmc badges will look goo too. I need opinions!!!
I ordered these MB old school wheels for it last night in 17x8. I'm goin to keep it at level for now and run a 275/60/17 all the way around. Should look ok, just trying to decide on color.

I like the colors too, the clear is just coming off all over or I would just leave it alone. Thinking something like this paint scheme....two tone with silver on top, blue on bottom with a fine red stripe between. Like this truck but blue instead of green with my wheels!!!

Looks great man! Still planning on lowering it? It's gonna look awesome! Also, I would leave it the color it is. That is a great color sceme.

Im back and fourth about paint... I like the way it looks now too..
Think I am going to leave it close to the same but the grey is to dark IMO so Im going to lighten it some. Thinking about just having it done like it is and having the pinestripes painted on. The same but different LOL... Yes thinking about a 3, 4 drop after paint and body.

Found one I like..

This is what I'm going to do with the paint, but with a little darker blue and silver on top with red painted pinstrip dividing them. I talked to a painter that will actually get it done by the end of the year. I have an apointment for paint Nov 1st.

Man did the 2" drop make a lot of difference, cool 2wd now not the 4x4 look. Sweet lookin ride.

I have FINALLY decided on colors...

It has been a hard decision to make, but after hours of looking at pictures and going back and forth and back and forth and forth and back again.

I'm.....
going to paint it back close to the factory two tone with these colors. Hope to get started on the body work soon! Will try to post pictures as we go along...

Work I've done over the holidays....

New front fender trim & side markers, new edelbrock carb, new plugs n wires, new air cleaner, I've pretty much decided just to keep fixing all the little stuff on the truck and not paint it yet. Just don't want to drop that much cash right now. Plan on getting under the hood more in order and working on the interior some. Every little $20 or $100 thing makes it a litte bit nicer. I kinda just like it the way it is anyway!
