Re: fleetside side step
I personally don't like them. I can see the use if your really using the truck, but I think it distracts from the front to back flow of the lines. Even if I was using my truck as a truck I think I wouldn't do it, but that's my opinion.

Re: fleetside side step
like Rbar, I think it's a work truck item. Never liked the look of them myself, especially if they used like an accessory just to add bling. Looks right at home on the 4X however.

Re: fleetside side step
Hey, gmcdeadhead. I, for one, am so short I would need them if I were to "use" my truck at all. Yet I honestly say that I prefer our trucks' looks better without them.
Were I to receive a pair for a gift, I'd either hang 'em on the nostalgia wall or sell 'em on our forum(1st) or Ebay(2nd) so they could go to someone who really appreciated them. It's really neat just to have a nos pair...apparently with the boxes too!? Sam |

Re: fleetside side step
a pair in the original box , like the ones i got , just sold on ebay for $275.00' mighty tempting to sell them at that price.

Re: fleetside side step
I've got a pair of NOS ones I'll be using. I think they work good if you use them. If they won't ever be used I wouldn't install them as the trucks do look "cleaner" without them in my opinion. But with getting older I won't mind the help to reach items in the back of the bed.
I use the steps on my stepside also......which was my decision it install them on my fleetside.
