Need help with Alternator Belt
ok this is the issue that i'm having, My alternator belt keeps coming off and have gone throught 2 battery in last two months cause i am running on the battery and replace the belt. i had the alternator tested and it pass. i have a 83 truck with a 305.

Are the pulleys aligned properly? You can use washers to correct angles.
I run a light for my alternator. When it's not charging, the light is on. When it's charging the light is off. Great way for me know if the belt is toast or alternator is not functioning. |

what else is there running on the belts
i popped one when i found my air pump was toast but that was an 88
