transforce 16.5 " tires on a 1/2 ton question
I came across this truck on ebay today and it got me thinking those tires dont look bad on a short bed. What do you guys think. I have a set of these 6 bolt wheels and caps and may use them on my 67 shorty. I believe these are firestone transforce tires. ebay seller wont get back to me as i am not sure what size tire these tires would be. anyone have any ideas here? also if you have them on your pickup how do they ride/road noise?

Re: transforce 16.5 " tires on a 1/2 ton question
They'd be 9.50s. I ran a set of those on a '72 SWB back i the early-70s. They were bias ply,I was young, didn't know any better, radials weren't an option, yet,so I thought it rode fine. I ran '53 Chevy car hubcaps. Hey,bigger diameter tires are in these days,so go for it in a truly retro way!
