May have the money to do this question.
I may be able to finally afford to do what I want to my truck. I used to want to drop it on airbags but now Im kicking around turning it into a 4x4! It is a 72 lwb 1/2 ton and I read on here the 3/4 ton frames are pretty much the same as the 1/2 tons. my question is... Do I half to have leafs all around to make it 4x4? Could I just keep the coil suspension and still lift the truck?

Re: May have the money to do this question.
lifting a 2wd of this year doesn't usually work, but it is possible with custom fabrication. Look up prerunners on this site to see some examples. As far as making it 4wd it is much easier to find a 4x4 frame and swap the body over than to convert a 2wd frame to 4wd.
