Re: steering column help!!
the 72 column is just like all the aftermarket columns
just use one of the drop down brackets or like i did i with mine was took a piece of 2 in hose and wrapped it around the colunm than i used the factory bracket and sandwiched to the factory spot and its nice and tight i did it that way so i didnt have to weld to a chrome column and keep factory parkin brake handle Posted via Mobile Device

Re: steering column help!!
i didnt drill it , i just used the hose as a rubber spacer and used the factory mounting bracket to push it up against the upper bracket and bolted the plates together , its tight no movement at all
and anywhere thst sells aftermarket cloumns will have the drop downs http://www.classicperform.com/Store/...ks/CPCCD-2.htm Posted via Mobile Device

Re: steering column help!!
I used a 91 column and bracket, we modified and merged the bracket from the 91 with the bracket from my 66, added 3 spacers and remounted the stock parking brake. It worked pretty well. (wiring was the reason for merging the 2 brackets) Here is a link to some pictures.... scroll around and you will see quite a few differen pictures of the braket and the column...
