Re: Rare 2 door crew cab for sale
Wonder if those had a Suburban jump-seat to get in the back?

Re: Rare 2 door crew cab for sale
They all had shortie bench seats, that is what my dads crew has in it.
I think the price is a little high but it would be great to have one to build Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Rare 2 door crew cab for sale
I love the idea of a extended cab or a crewcab but they really did not do a very good job back in the day with the bed. The rear end is just too close to the back of the cab........If (big if) I ever build one I think the frame should be lengthened so one could use a regular swb fleetside body. JMO
ps great find if you do not have the skills to build one then the 10k is less than it would cost to have one made..... |

Re: Rare 2 door crew cab for sale
I think it's cool--because it's different--but I agree that a longer frame with a full short bed fram would be more appealing..

Re: Rare 2 door crew cab for sale
It's only a mile from my house. The interior is pretty decent and it kinda runs I just think the back bed doesn't look right. But extending the frame to put a regular short bed on it would make a huge difference!

Re: Rare 2 door crew cab for sale
if they had of done the proper side rear window treatment instead of that after market type window would have made the cab right

Re: Rare 2 door crew cab for sale
If you didn't want to extend the frame, the fix would be to relocate the rear axle rearward several inches, and move the wheel opening back. If the distance (at the rocker) between the back of the cab and the front edge of the wheel opening was the same as the front edge of the door and the front wheel opening, the whole truck would be much more symmetrical.
I wonder if they chopped down a suburban body and then added a pick-up back cab panel under the roof. -Brad
