I finally finished recovering/rebuilding one of my Blazer's bucket seats.
The passenger bucket was in pretty bad shape.Prob. used to be the drivers seat how beat up it was.

Anyway here are a couple pic's and a link to the rest of the pic's.

This is what I started with.Grey velour.

I had never tackled upholstery work before so I learned while doing.

BobbyK, the seats look nice. I can't see your imagestation photos though. I wish I had the original front buckets in my blazer - maybe someday... Where did you get the covers?

I saw them put new covers on some seats on either hot rot tv or trucks. They used spray silicone to make it easier to slide the cover over the foam.

I got the covers at GMC Pauls
The fronts were $209.95
The rear bench was $239.95

Nice job on the seat recovering. You know it's always a good feeling when you know you did it yourself. Plus the money that you saved doing this will go for someother project on your truck. So go and pat yourself on the back, great job.

They look great in the photos. How do like the fit? Was it difficult to do? Did they meet your expectations? What would you change if you could?

The buckets and bench seat are out of my 71 Blazer.

The fit and finish are excellent.

It was harder than I expected due to the condition of the foam and seat frame.The bench seat foam I did was alot easier as the foam and frame were in real good shape.Basically just removed the old covers and put the new ones back on.
I would suggest putting the new covers in the sun for a while before putting them on.It will soften up the vinyl and make it a little easier to put on.
