WIW 4x4 Cummins Blazer
A buddy called me recently and said he found a blazer with a Cummins diesel in it. I was intrigued so we drove to Wheelersburg Ohio and sure enough there it was. We bought it, drove it home 400 miles through the snow and it ran like a top. It isbessentially a dodge diesel chassis cut down with the blazer body. It's an older restoration but I like it! Curious what you guys know about it what you think it's worth? better pics to come...

Re: WIW 4x4 Cummins Blazer
Doesn't make a good tow rig which is what I'd specifically want a diesel for, but it is unique and probably worth a good deal of money to the right person if the swap is good quality. I like the idea of swapping the body onto a newer chassis, but the cut down frame sounds scary depending on how well it's done.
Interesting though. I'd like to see more pics as well. |

Re: WIW 4x4 Cummins Blazer
Which Dodge chassis? Which Cummins diesel? How was the frame modified? What kind of shape is the rest of it in?
BTW, the tires look really small with that lift. It's begging for at least 33s under it. I'm curious about the fuel mileage. I've toyed with the idea of a 6.2 or 6.5 in mine. |

Re: WIW 4x4 Cummins Blazer
Judging by just that picture I'd say it could be worth at least $7k+

Re: WIW 4x4 Cummins Blazer
Doesn't look like it fits the body at all? Narrower frame? I would have rather just swapped engines than chop, cut, and rebuild a frame.... To each their own but I wouldn't have even thought twice. Hope everything is what you want out of it though.

Re: WIW 4x4 Cummins Blazer
Looks good. Maybe its the wheels but the axles look kinda narrow for the truck. Which ones are under it?

Re: WIW 4x4 Cummins Blazer
I have no idea of its worth other than to say it is worth what your Buddy paid for it. Any of these trucks are worth what someone is willing to pay. Interesting swap though and the Blazer looks pretty good in the photo. More photos needed.

Re: WIW 4x4 Cummins Blazer
Working on more photos! - Wasnt looking for a hard value just curious. As for the wheels - He wanted to keep the wheels/tires he had so those where for the trip home. As for MPG...this pic was taken at the only stop we made on the way home and from what I could tell it was getting about 18mpg...
