is this frame bent?
started the s10 frame swap on the 52 project and for some reason it looks like the front is higher and the motor is angled.. does this look right??

Put a level on the intake. The engine slopes down about 4 degrees, manifold carb surface is sloped to compensate and should be level. If that is right clip is right, check the frame rails they should be level too.Rt

It is definitely bent upward in the front. Take it to a frame shop and have it straightened.

dwcsr is right the front of the frame is bent up. you can see the kinks in the frame right behind the cab mounts.

You just asked the same question on the HAMB and was told that it was bent and bent quite a bit and in more than one place. Your least expensive recourse is to buy a Bare frame of that same model and swap your suspension pieces over to it. You could have it put on a frame machine and straightened but I'm not positive that it wouldn't give out in the same spots later unless it is reinforced somewhat.
And yes I am the same Mr48Chev that answered you on the HAMB.

Looks like you just started getting into the swap.
Junk that frame NOW and save alot of trouble later. There are hundreds of thousands of S10's, not worth struggling with a junk frame from the very start... I would not work with that frame. Did you buy the truck like this? or do you have the original frame still? if so go build that up... |
