ECE engine mounts and trans problems
hey guys, I ran into a snag yesterday. I have a 99 ls1 out of a camaro and ece mounts going into my 72 c10. I had to remove some material on the engine cradle. no big deal, but my trans seems to be too low at the tailshaft. I also have a ece trans mount. it just seems like it needs to come up some. has anyone else ran into this?

Re: ECE engine mounts and trans problems
I an using the same setup in my 67. I put a .50" thick spacer under the trans mount to bring it up a little. Anything thicker and the trans would touch the lip on the cab (bellhousing area)

Thank you joe, i have to get me a angle finder and then I'm gonna try your suggestion. I'm gonna see if I can get about 4 degrees negative out of it.
