SM465 and NP205???
Ijust bought an SM465 and NP205. I am waiting on it to be delivered from up in N.Kalifornia. The guy sent me some pics and I can not tell if it has the round or racetrack style adapter. It has a slip yoke rear output(which will get changed). If anyone can identify it from the pics I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
This is what it's going into!

Re: SM465 and NP205???
I'm pretty sure it is the race track. I've never seen a round pattern sm465/205 adapters.

Re: SM465 and NP205???
Usually the slip yoke 205 came in late 80's single cab trucks and the np208, 205, 203 with cv front shafts had drive flanges like that.

Re: SM465 and NP205???
I think that the output flange and the slip yoke are correct for a 1980 model
(80 turbo 350/205)

Re: SM465 and NP205???
That is definitely a figure 8 – or race track flange type in Manimal’s picture. Odd they have the shift lever in backasswards. Sweet J10 though!
SAE round tcase flange. 1989 SM465 on left/NV4500 on right Figure 8 – Race track type flange. 1978 SM465 left / NV4500 on right Another 1978 SM465/NP205 with the figure 8 – race track type flange with a 10 spline input

Re: SM465 and NP205???
I have that case with the sensor on the top. Is that for the 4wd? Can I just pull the switch and put it in my 72 case? Or do I need the shaft too? Sorry to jack the thread...I would love to have a light that goes on when in 4wd!!!
