bought a K5.. with a truck cab fused to it? Check it!

Bought this K5 Blazer, with a half cab grafted into the body.. very strange old truck. It is a very nice body though, haha. According to the VIN plate it is a 1967 6 cylinder 1/2 ton 2wd.. I'm assuming that was from the donor cab, and was required to replace the blazer vin plate? anyways, I thought it was cool and the price was right.. Now for some pictures!

Looks cool! I have heard them referred to as Trazers, some guys like them, some don't. I do.

You bought the Trazer! I saw it on CL and had some thoughts about it too, it was priced pretty decent. Congrats

cool. i like it. i want to do that with my jimmy for a mud/ rock crawler. the shorter wheelbase will be great in the woods and who cares about vin #'s on a trail rig.

Re: bought a K5.. with a truck cab fused to it? Check it!

That looks like a pickup cab and box pushed together no? My dad built an offroad racer that way in the mid 70's and the cab and boxsides wouldnt stay welded (kept ripping apart even with a boxed Blazer frame). So he ended up ditching the box floor, inner box sides, tailgate inner panel, and then everything flexed enough to survive. I keep bugging him for his photo album/boxes so I can scan the old pics, but he hasnt came through yet. Currently the cab is part of the motorhome, but with a different clip and custom camper.

I'll keep bugging him about pre-motorhome racetruck days photos.
