Injectors- sensors-Transmission connections

This is for a what I believe to be a 2006 Silverado 5.3 and I am going to place it into a 78 Silverado.

My question is besides the obvious, 8 injectors, 4L60E plug, MAF, Knock, water temp, TAC and peddle, Cam & Crank, what else in needed in the wire harness and computer to complete the wiring on the ECM.

I have looked and did not find a list of sensors to eliminate, like the purge soloniod and others.

Re: Injectors- sensors-Transmission connections

I usually work from the connectors/fuse box and run backwards towards the engine to determine what I may need to keep. Get the "pinouts" for your year engine so that you know what wires are what. I tape the ends and label them for future use.

Keep the front O2 sensors...you could ditch the rears if no cat conv. I got rid of evap wiring, egr wiring, coolant sensor at radiator, etc....

Some wires will run into the cab for tach, speedo, mil light, cruise, etc...

Better to keep and label now and then finish pulling them out later in case you need them...
