Update on my 80 stepside project
Getting closer...
Completed tasks include: Front end rebuilt Crate 350 HO (350 hp) installed Vintage Air AC installed Steering column replaced with automatic, tilt unit Rear end removed and sent out for rebuild Dynomat installed Wiring removed Installed tach and small fuel gauge in new gauge cluster Remaining tasks: Install new 700r4 transmission when it arrives Install rebuilt rear end with new 3.73 gears and posi when it's done Install new wiring harness Cut driveshaft to fit Get tires for the 15x8 rally wheels I just scored on Craigslist Install carpet and new door panels Recover seat Install stereo and speakers Reinstall gauges and dash

Negative. Just something else to break if you ask me... Doesn't help you to stop any faster or better, just less pedal effort. Doesn't take too much effort to lock up the brakes now, so I didn't want to spend the money.
I know why this truck didn't come with power brakes. Anybody who needed power brakes would have had a heck of a time with the clutch that was in there. That thing was a left leg workout!
