Rear Differential Problem 86 C10
Yesterday I replaced the differential gasket & oil. This morning I had 3-5 small drips on the ground. I put sand over the spots and went to work, came back and parked in same spot. Checked on it about an hour later and there were 2-3 spots. Nothing major. What should I do? Jack up truck and see if i can tighten the bolts more? Redo the gasket & fluid? Please help. Thanks in advance!!
PS. When i look at the differential I do not see any dripping coming down. So I dont know if its residue drips or something coming off the differential because its hot. i don't know. im a little frustrated because i always get this stuff right!!

Re: Rear Differential Problem 86 C10
If there are drips you should see where it is coming from. Get a can of brake clean and clean it off, Go for a drive and see if it still is leaking when you get back. Hopefully you scraped all the old gasket off the housing and diff cover?
