how do i know what size front brakes i have???
I went to my local NAPA auto parts today and tried to order some brake pads for the front of my 1966 C10 pickup and i was asked which size they were, and was told that they either came with 2 inch or 2 3/4 inch brakes. well how the heck am i supposed to know this without taking the darn truck apart what my truck came with? why would Chevy use 2 different size brakes?

Re: how do i know what size front brakes i have???
I have not seen a '63-'66 C10 that didn't have 2" wide shoes. I don't know if the 2-3/4" wide shoes were an option back then on the C10's.
If you pull the wheel off, you should be able to measuer the width of the brake drum, and get a good idea whether you need 2" shoes or 2-3/4" shoes.
