A/C Parts

Bought a factory A/C system and was wondering If I could get pictures of a factory A/C setup the best you can of inside the cab as well as going into the firewall and heater box. And also Where is the best place to buy parts for them? Such as POA Valves and all of that. Thanks

I am doing the same retrofit but luckily mine is an original ac truck and I have 3 other factory air parts trucks for reference and parts. I plan to reuse the original ac evap core and have o ring with nut fittings tig welded on to the outputs for new rubber ac lines to attach. There is a line/condensor/dryer kit available from LMC and other truck sources but I dont know if that is what I want. I plan to use R134 and to go to a larger late model crossflow ac condensor and new dryer all with the new style fittings versus the old clamp originals also. Possibly add a pressure cutout switch too.The bypass valve is available locally at most auto parts stores but a good source for most all these ac parts is Old Air Products from what I have seen out on the net. I plan to be doing this all over the next several months as my truck is tore to bare pieces now and starting return assembly. My original 327 engine renovation is the holdup as my old timer machinist is buried in irrigation motor rebuilds till April. Three of my 1966 ac trucks all came from Kansas in the last couple of years. Great Bend, Wichita, and Manhatten areas. So were not too far north if you need to come check out mine. Mark

Well what I have is an under dash set up that was dealer installed it looks like but I just don't know if I can cut a whole in the firewall and do it? I e never ran across a factory air can before so if I make this one right then it'll be the first. Those pictures helped a lot but has anyone ever cut a hole to make it work or is that not possible?

Picture posted are exacly what the truck it came form look like.should go right in. I can take a template of cardboard paper and mail it to you.

if you use the accessorie book it gives the places to cut there are dimples on the firewall for the engine compartment. the template would be great for the dash area . good luck

accessory installation manual you can buy repos manuals for 20.00 ebay . the were used by the dealers to install accessories such as clocks, ac, armrest,litter containers ,etc.
