gauge question
I am close to ordering gauges fo my 58 and have a question.I am using a 700r4 trans out of an 88 pontiac and plan on using the existing switch in the trans .I am not going to use any of the wiring or computer for this .Do i buy the gauges that say electronic speedo .Is this a simple connect if i use the existing trans switch or do i use the swithch with the gauges .Iwant to be sure before i spend that kind of money. Thanks in aqdvance .Tony

Re: gauge question
Have you seen Classic Instruments GPS based speedo driver? I think it's supposed to work with all electronic speedos.

Re: gauge question
No i havent looked at those yet i will take a look. Thanks .I guess my concern is they make two styles of gauges mecanical speedo which requires a cable. My trans is out of an 88 pont which originaly came with a electronic computer controled trans And speedo .I cant use the mecanical unit So should i be purchasing the electonic and will the gauges come with the speedo sender for the trans .I am just trying to determan if i need to purchase a different type of sender for the speedo or do i use the original one already on the trans tail shaft .Tony
