My new '75

I bought it a few weeks ago out of state and finally got her home Saturday. I quickly washed her up, did a grille and bezel swap, and spent the rest of the weekend getting to know her. It's got quite a few minor mechanical issues, but nothing that can't take care of with a little elbow grease and a cold beer or two. It is missing the passenger seat hold down bracket and I'm not sure what all years that part interchanged with. Anybody know? I have realized it's a hard find, but if I can expand my search beyond 73-75 it might be a tad helpful. Thanks for the look. Here's a before and after of the facelift.

Re: My new '75

Looks like my very first k5 same paint. I believe the bracket goes through 80, its a guess never owned any newer than that.

Nice ride!!!

Re: My new '75

Nice Blazer, I think the bracket you are talking about is a 1973-1976 only. From 1977-1991 the floor pan had a drop down in the passenger seat rear footwell

Re: My new '75

The floors changed in '78. The bracket you are looking for should be 73-77. Are you looking for the pieces that mount to the floor or the ones on the seat?

Re: My new '75

Thanks for the info on the bracket everyone. I was lucky to snag one off of ebay this weekend. I'm glad to cross that one off the list.

Outlaw...Thanks, this is probably it, I did get it up there.

Nice Blazer! I bought a 77 recently and I'm working to get it home. On a side note, you interested in selling that old grill?

Thanks!

Thanks and yes. I've actually been meaning to put it on ebay but haven't gotten around to it yet. Let me give it a good once-over and I'll send you a PM.

Re: My new '75

Great looking Blazer. The topless pics are sweet, I like the white wheels, and the BFG`s look tough.

Can you give the specs on the lift and tire size? I really like how yours sets.
Thanks!

Re: My new '75

WOW! Sorry it's taken me 4 months to get back to this.

Willowrun - The tires are 33x12.5R15's, the lift is 3". It was already raised when I got it so I'm not sure what brand was used.

special-K - Thanks!

Eyegor - Here's a few interior pics. Overall the inside is pretty good but I've got quite a list of things to do this winter to get it where I want it.

Re: My new '75

They're 6x9's buy the back seat, just a dual speaker in the stock dash location and 10" subs in back. It sounds pretty good. Not too obnoxious, but good enough to make me feel 18 again.

Re: My new '75

nice I really love the wood grain trim on the subs and did you use an adapter for the 6x9s or just trim the original panel
