Milling I6 Intake for 2bbl

Just thinkin out loud

Has anyone milled a 230 or 250 intake log then drilled/tapped and port matched it for direct mounting (or with portmatched spacer to clear valve cover) of a single 2 bbl instead of useing a restrictive 2 into 1 adaptor?

If so, got pics or lessons learned?

Re: Milling I6 Intake for 2bbl

Sounds like a nice weekend project. I have a friend who has an old brigeport, I just dont have the spare time or an extra intake to try it on if I did. I do know this. I was playing with a slant six and a two barrel carb. I had a 4bl intake, made an adapter plate so the carb was sideways. (The throttle plates ran along side the engine instead of one closer to the engine.)A throttle cable is needed and in this case has to be standard. Automatic Mopars have a kick down linkage. It seemed peppier than the super six automatic I had. I got this tip from an old dirt track racer.
