Question.....TH350 Tranny Lines

I'm working on putting a new radiator in my blazer. The bottom transmission line was stripped so I decided to buy a double flare kit and fix it.....to no avail The line was to old to make a decent flare with out cracking so I bought new transmission coolant lines from GMC Pauls and I'm having a hell of a time routing them right.

Do they go under the frame or through the motor mount hugging the frame?

If I route them the way the old ones came out through the motor mount hugging the frame the lines are way off but if I route them under the frame they should work. I'm at an impass.

Re: Question.....TH350 Tranny Lines

Mine went through the motor mount. I just bought some hardline from a part store and bent up a new one. It's just std line size..

Good to see another member from the midwest.

Re: Question.....TH350 Tranny Lines

Just replaced mine also. They were twisted to hell! They also went through the motor mount. I made a radiator shroud to put 2 16" electric fans on my aluminum radiator and figured now was the time to replace the trans cooler lines. I just bought straight pieces from the local Napa and bent my own, now they run along the top of the frame rail. Figured they'd be safer there when I'm out wheeling. Look nice and clean there also, just a bit worried about them when I make my outboard headers. Will be super close to the headers at that point. Oh well, for the $16 they cost me I can always make another set.
