got the newest drop parts on it
spent a little while pulling the old girl out of winter storage and adding the new cpp modular drop spindles as well as trimming down the bump stops front and back to give me atleast a little suspension travel!
i think its pretty good for now. still needs to be lower, but this will do for awhile. couldnt stand the 3+" gap between the fender and the top of the tire it had before, even with lowered coils... it seems opposites attract, the chevy sits to low still, and the gmc still sits to high... |

Re: got the newest drop parts on it
Very Nice!
Gotta love a short 4 eyes! I put the 4.5/6 ECE drop on mine last year. I still haven't put in the c-notch and I haven't had anything hit yet. Mine has no bump stops. Have fun! John

Re: got the newest drop parts on it
That's the look I'm going for...what is your wheel tire combo?
I realized I have to get rid of my rallies because my suspension hangs below the rim! I have drop spindles and springs, but wont know my front height till I get the big block in, so I'm a little worried about the wheels rubbing. If that's not an issue for you PLEASE share! Chris

Re: got the newest drop parts on it
thanks, im pretty happy with the stance for now...(isnt that always how it goes!)
as for the wheels, they are 20x8.5 front and 22x10 rear. for some reason at the moment i cant remember the tire size even though i just rattled it off yesterday to someone i was talking too... i hate that... as for drop, it has an axle flip kit which gives it somewhere around a 6" drop in the back, 2" drop spindles up front and i THINK around 3" lower springs up front if i remember right. |

Re: got the newest drop parts on it
Beautiful au naturale GMC! Digging the three rust drips on the doors from the original door mirrors too!
The drop makes all the difference in the world doesn't it? And for some reason, its never low enough... LOL. |

Re: got the newest drop parts on it
Man,... some CLR treatment to that paint would look sweet!

But it will always come back. Your hood and top of the fenders are so heavily surface rusted,... I don't know if CLR would remove all of it anyway. Just don't take a buffer to the paint afterwords. n2billet would always wipe down his patina'd '67 swb "Hazel" with a rag and some Simple Green cleaner to keep it nice!

Re: got the newest drop parts on it
Post up an extreme close up of the rust across the hood.. has it pitted down into the metal or just surface?
