water in the oil
I got a engine from "a friend of a friend", 78 350 with 60 k mikes. had it for about a year, and just got around to putting it in. before I put it in I changed the heads, got it in, put in the new oil, filter, coolant, etc. fired it up, ran great. shut it off to readjust the rocker arms, and found milky oil, I had put on new head gaskets, heads were rebuilt. I pulled out the spark plugs, and water was in 6,and 8 cyl. pulled the intake and head off, looked good. put it all back together, changed the oil and filter, and it fired right up,runs great. again milky oil, must be a cracked block, my question... do any of these block/head crack repair solutions at the parts store work ?

Re: water in the oil
K&W Block seal. Stuff is magic. I could tell you some stories about that stuff.
The best sealer for blocks, head gaskets. Follow directions to the letter. Its a pain in the ass but awalys works. Make sure it's K&W brand Metallic Block Seal

Re: water in the oil
I used Gunks Radiator Repair in my 99 Saturn. Its in a little yellow metal can
I had replaced the head gasket due to oil being sucked into the cooling system. Found the head was blown. I was on a super tight budget so didnt get the head checked. It ended up having a warped head. I used that in the cooling system. I sealed it up for over a year before it started sucking oil again. It was right at a year, ~30k miles (my commute is 52 miles one way)

Re: water in the oil
get a pvc adapter to 1/4in pipe thres and put a air fitting in it, put a cap on the water pump inlet and the air fitting on your thermistat housing. pull the spark plugs and valve covers and put 15psi to the system rotate the engine by hand and listen for the hiss
most likly its the intake manifold gasket but it could be a cracked cylender wall or head but its a cheap way to know for shure Posted via Mobile Device

Re: water in the oil
When you changed the heads did you put rtv on the intake gaskets around the water jackets?
