Tires

What kind of tires is everyone running? Currently I am running a 255/60/15 Dunlop GT Qualifier in the rear and cannot hook for anything. I am looking at replacing them with a Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 275/60/15 or a Yokohama 275/60/15. Any suggestions? Previous users?

I have Firestone Firehawk 255/60/15s. They're nothing fancy but they grip fine. Of course, I don't go to the track so I really can't tell you how they will handle there.

bfg comp ta zr4 295-35-18. They hook up alright but they helped in the turns a lot.

I am using Yokohama Avid S/T, 255-60-15's on all four corners. Nice aggressive tread design, high mileage tread wear, and economically priced. Bought them through the Tire Rack. No complaints at all, they ride nice.

Yeah I was looking at them through tire rack also. Bought some for the wife's toyota, pretty inexpensive. How is the traction on a hard take off?

BFG radial TA 275/60/15. Very good tire. I have never used their competition though, so I can't compare them.

275/60/15 Firehawk SS20 - they don't make them anymore - changed to Indy 500 - different tread so I couldn't really comment. I like my wide tires! I had 235/75/15 on here for a while and they SUCKED! No traction whatsoever!

Try looking at Cooper Cobra's. I have them on the back. They are way better than other tires I've used. When hot, they hook very good.

I think I'm going with a Yokohoma Avid ST in a 275/60/15, $60/each from tire rack.

cooper 255/60/15's. They grip awsome, at least compared to my 275/60/15 BFG tires.
