bumper guard mounting ?
so i bought a set of stock bumper guards of another bumper and i put them on and the left one fits and the right one the bolt holes in the bumper don't line up
the driver side holes front top of top hole to the bottom of the bottom hole is 6 1/4 inches apart and the passenger in measuring the same way is 6 1/2 inches what would cause this and why and my dad thinks that at one time the truck had had front end damage |

Re: bumper guard mounting ?
If the bumper can be mounted then it seems that the bumper guards should be able to be mounted.
Can you post a pic? K

Re: bumper guard mounting ?
Without trying to put the bolts through does the bump guard sit flush up against the bumper? I would think that if it didn't then there has been some kind of damage to the bumper.
I assume the bumper guards match each other, as far as size and bolt holes go. Did you personally take them off the old bumper? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: bumper guard mounting ?
I put a set on once and remember having to fiddle with it but don't recall what the trick was. Have you tried putting the lower bolt in first and then the top?

Re: bumper guard mounting ?
yes and no i did not take them off because i drug it out of the grass but the owner of the scrap yard took it of the bumper
and they both fit flush and good on the driver side but not on the passenger side |
