Bolt Sets
I am just starting to reassemble my 65 step side resto/mod and realize now how many bolts are missing. The PO had done a number of goofy things so some things weren't even there. I also am tired of trying to clean up every bolt I will stop whining now.
I looked at LMC and Classic Parts catalogs and don't see a complete bolt set for the truck. I did find one in the Classic Industries catalog but its $375 (choke...), I am guessing they are stainless steel. Does anyone know who else sells a complete bolt set?

Re: Bolt Sets
DON'T do it, it's cheaper in (money) to get just what you need at a local hardware store. The odds are you'll need to re-thread or change a size. go grade 5 (last forEVER) .

Re: Bolt Sets
Thanks for the response. I wish there was a more reasonably priced set. The cost seems outrageous. I can buy either grade 5 or 8 at a local farm supply store at a reasonable price. My concern is there are a lot of specialty bolts that go in certain locations. This is my first build so I don't know what should go where; I had others helping disassemble the truck and even though I told them multiple times to bag and tag, it did not happen. I do have the assembly manual and shop manuals so I can figure it out but it just seems like I am going to spend hours figuring out what I need.
One example that lead to this question is the PO did not have the upper radiator supports. He zip tied the radiator to the radiator support on all four corners. It was not even sitting in the radiator brackets on the bottom. I am buying new upper radiator supports but not sure what bolts to put in. If the best thing is to spend the time in the assembly manual and then hitting the store that is what I will do. Just wanted to see what others have done.

Re: Bolt Sets
Most are 5/16 and 3/8 thread. I used Tractor supply for most of mine. My truck was all original with all the bolts. I didn't like to put rusted bolts back in place with cleaned and painted parts. Tractor supply had the best price. So I matched up the bolt thread and bought a bag of bolts.
