Re: need to find 235 part
Is a 216 nut the same? I am going to go out on a limb a take a wild guess but I wanna say that 216 - 250 should be the same, am I wrong? If so, someone please correct me.

Re: need to find 235 part
I did not do any search but you might check ARP and look over at inliners.org, they would know a source.

Re: need to find 235 part
The rod nut isn't that application specific. If I remember correctly, it's a 3/8 x 24 nut which is the same as all later 350, etc. V-8's. In that low performance app, even a used one from an automotive machine shop would work just fine but any good auto parts store that carries Dorman stuff will have a new rod nut. If it happens to be 11/32, which is an oddball, it would be the same as the earlier 265, 283 V-8s. If it happened to be 5/16, that's the same as 289/302 small block Fords. Any of these, even used shouldn't be a problem and if it used a pal nut/lock nut, it's just fine to leave it off. I never use them on old builds I do, jut upgrade the nuts to Pioneer, ARP or whatever and torque them properly. That's 1940's thinking.

Re: need to find 235 part
The problem is the older you get the more often you misplace your nuts.

Re: need to find 235 part
If I leave mine laying around my wife puts them somewhere and promptly forgets what she did with them. Seems I am constantly looking for my nuts.
