It is home!
With mixed emotions I brought home my '70 and '64 today.
My friend Jimmy that gave me both trucks has been in poor health for some time. Last week he got very sick and his wife took him to the ER. He had pneumonia. That Monday Two weeks ago the Doctors discovered he was eat up with lung cancer and bone cancer and found an aneurism in his lower abdomen. They did surgery Monday morning to fix the aneurism but he has not recovered. Unfortunately he is not expected to make the night. I bought the trucks home today under request from him that I have them before he passes. So, YES I am so excited to have my '70 and '64 at home, but I am also sad at the loss of a kindred spirit. I did have the privilege of Baptizing him last year in the Lord. (I am a Preacher). So I am also excited to see another Saint being called home. Jimmy, You will be missed, but your trucks will live on. Gentlemen, I introduce Peggy (the '70) and Jimmy (the '64).
