73-87 Bag setup pics

hey guys, was wondering if i could see some pic's of bagged 73-87 trucks (preferably without the box on so i can see the setup). i need some ideas on how to throw mine together with the shocks and 4-link setup that i have. would also appriciate comments. has anyone had any handleing issues with mounting the bags inside the frame rails?

How much better do they really ride with bags?

Depends on how they are set-up.

The smaller the bag higher the pressure the harder they ride, and the bigger the bag lower the air pressure the better they ride. Is a bit of an over simplification, but it is pretty much true.

This all depends on the weight that's being supported.

What's the working angle of the shocks? Is that enough? I kept mine @ less than 30°.
Also, it seems in your app, most utilize a sleeve type bag vs. the dbl convo style for better ride quality. Any specific reason you opted for that bag vs the sleeve style?

I'm not a 100% sure on the working angle shocks, they are universal type by competition engineering. I'll have to double check on that and probably should have done that before I built the crossmember although if I need to alter it a bit it shouldn't be a big issue. As for that style bag, I just bought the kit from air bag it and that's what they sent. I'm not to familiar with bag systems as this is my first build. Thanks for the input, I will be looking into this

When I did my shocks, I tried to limit the amount of tilt between what was recommended (internet sources) & what was there from OE. I set mine @ 25° tilt.

There are prob guys that have run the dbl convo style bags w/a similar 4-bar arrangement so I would see what they think of as far as ride quality. My research found that most of the 4-bar set-ups (like your set-up & mine) used the taper/rolling sleeve type of bag. Check w/Porterbuilt, No Limits, & Ride Tech as well to see what they recommend.

My brother's had the ridetech set up shown in this thread. Rode better than any truck I have ever drove.
