Torsion lowering

I am looking to get down a few more inches out of my 61 Sub. It has Torsion susp and I have turned them down a bit but now the keys hang to low. I tried to reclock them but since they are 6 sided it is to much or a movement to reclock them. Any Ideas? Anyone know of any reclocked keys or keys that will fit from another vehicle?

I think photos would help or maybe it is that I don't know what keys are.

I don't think you can move the keys to keep the truck low and those off the ground. I ran into the same issue and left them low. I think if the bar ends had 12 points instead of 6 it would be easier to re-index them for what you want.

I just lowered my 62 GMC and noticed the same thing. Does anyone know how the torsions are held into the control arms? Maybe they can be indexed differently from that end?

Guys, I don't think re-indexing the torsion bars is going to work... 6-sided, means each hex is 60 degrees. You'll never get things working by rotating one piece or the other 60 degrees.

I lowered mine by cranking it down, and I don't have any problem with anything hitting under the truck--and I drive my truck daily.

Perhaps taller tires would be a solution for you? I've got 235/75/15 on mine.

I'm eventually going to crank them back to stock height, and put drop spindles in. I don't bottom out on the suspension often, but it does happen. Plus, the funky geometry is hard on tires.
