Has Anybody done 8.1 Swap ??????

Has anyone installed an 8.1 with 4L80 trans in a 67-72. I have one and want to repace my 454 with it. Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

Its not the same designs as the other ls motors. Most of us pass on thenm due to limited aftermarket support and poor fuel econemy for what they deliver. If its a tow rig they arent bsd.

they are not LS engines they are the last of the big block chevys. 496 cubic inch big block chevy. i have sold several of them the last one that i sold went into a 69 chevelle.

So it should bolt in place of my 454 then?? I know its not an LS but the price was right and I'll have overdrive AND fuel injection

It should bolt right up. I was considering the 8.1's as well, but ended up going ls.
