Re: Specialty Top Company on K5

I haven't heard of them but I did a quick search and found a review of one installed on a K5. It doesn't look like it fits quite as well as the softopper: http://www.softopper.com/chevy-blaze...p-details.aspx A member here has one of these and he's happy with it.

Re: Specialty Top Company on K5

this is a company from along time ago now out of business but make a good top the sides and back unzip and has fast track clips to install it so pretty simple to install it. Also has 5 windows 1 on each side, back window and then 1 in each corner for total of 5 windows and there slighty tinited. Still up in air on using it or selling it off. Figured get a few pics found 2 but where in white before taking hard top off again. Cut and dry to install but taking hard top off sucks as we all know.

Re: Specialty Top Company on K5

I have one for my full convertible, bought from another member. Needed some repairs, but now I am not sure I will ever use it because it doesn't allow the use of the hardtop in the Winter without removing alot of hardware, including the rails along the windshield frame.

Re: Specialty Top Company on K5

STC wasn't around for all that long. I feel a shot of adrenalin when I see the name because the crooked lying S.O.B. who owned it ripped me off for close to 600 bucks! I mailed a m.o.,waited and waited, called a lot on progress and got B.S. from waiting for other orders before making it to waiting for components, then asked for refund. That's when the B.S. got real deep. Kept saying it was sent till one day the phone was disconnected. STC was still listed as a vendor on CK5.com and ORD for months after that.I wonder how many online orders were made to a company that took the money and ran. I wanted a black top for my solid red '90 as part of a mild to wild build using my '91 V2500 Suburban axles, tires, and lift. After that ordeal I sold the Blazer out of disgust and to recoup my loss. In '10 I found and bought my '85 Jimmy, which is now what I wanted the '90 Blazer to be...with a Softopper, and I am very happy with that!

Tim I know you hate you sold the red K5 but in the end you still have cool truck with a better soft top. I would love to put one on my green truck if the thieves weren't so bad around here.
