5 lug to 6 lug change over

I recently purchased 6 lug steel wheels from a 1979 donor.
I have a 5 lug front end from a 1978 donor.
My question is what year or years truck can I use for the 6 lug change.
Is my only option aftermarket?

Yes I should have. I have the option to run 5 lug or 6 lug. I have a rear end from a 72 6 lug and a front from a 78 5 lug. My original plans were to send axles to Moser for plug and restud(5 lug pattern), but I found a killer deal on 6 lug steelies. My mistake was not knowing enough!

You can buy a 6 lug rotor and bolt it on 1 1/4 rotor I believe is what they are I am actually doing the same. I find there is much more wheel selection with the 6 lug call you local parts store they should have them. Pricey though

I researched this and yes pricey. I could get my axles drilled to a 5 lug pattern for $110.00. New rotors are over $100.00 each.

There is an option to the aftermarket rotors. I have it listed here in post #16

Going this route may or may not save you any $$$, depending on how resourceful you are.
