292 I6 Engine Roll Around Engine Cradle ?

Looking for source / example of 292 I6 engine roll around cradle/stand. Used for storage of engine and has casters for rolling engine around. See them all over for SBC's. In past have made cradle out of 2x10s in shape where oil pan rail rests on top of rectangle made from 2x10s w/ dip stick , etc. notched in top of boards.
Would add two additional end boards boards that extended beyond triangle for strength and stability. Works however really like the roll around ones.

How is everybody storing their 292s??

Re: 292 I6 Engine Roll Around Engine Cradle ?

I set myself up for that one, hope to do the same once gone through.

Picking new to me engine up tomorrow. It is a 1965, 292 /4 speed trans/ parking brake assembly with low mileage out of an Air Force ambulance. It still has green paint.

Tom Lowe sells them over on 12bolt.com I have one for my 292 depending on the oil pan you have.... you may not be able to use the center brace. Mine worked just fine without it.

Can u not use your own idea & just add inexpensive casters from Harbor Frt? Remember u only need 2 that swivel.
