Unhappy 69 c/20 rear axle set up

hello i am new to the site and like all the great info thats hear. that being said can anyone give me a direction togo i have a 69 c/20 and the rear diff is a coil under set up how would i go about putting leaf springs on it and a newer axle.i am only thinking about this because i cant find 3.73 gears or lower for the one i have. i think it has 4.56 now but not good for highway use. any help is greatly welcome thx

I think I would keep the coils and just add axle saddles to the newer rearend.
The ride will be much better.
You might have to add a new track bar,... like a Super Track bar from ECE.

If you are good with a torch or know somebody that is, you can use the ones off the axle in the truck. Take measurements first

4.10 is the tallest gear you can get for an Eaton rear. If you can find a coil sprung Dana 60 then you can get 3.54. Not near as common as the Eaton in coil spring however, but they are out there.

AWSOME thx for the info. While I'm working on the rear dose anyone know. if I put a drop spindle in the front can I use the coils or do I have to put air bags in ??

And are 1/2 ton spindles the same as 3/4 ton spindles ??

Yes you can use coil springs.

No.
They are different.
Different upper and lower balljoints, different outer tie rods and different lower a-arms.

Thx for all the info Keith. I got a hold of ece and they are AWSOME people. You wouldn't know if I have to keep my two piece drive shaft or should I try to switch it over to a one piece when I redo the drive train set up ??
