1957 clf curb weight
Help does any member know the rough weight of a 283 '57 cabover with a 14 ft stakebed on it ? Looking at a truck and trying to find a shipper to move it from west Tx. to Pa. near Phila. thanks Bryan

Go to the manual site in my signature. You will land on a 56 truck page. Scroll down to the 56 index tab and click. Find the page that has the truck weight specs listed by model. I can't remember if it gives a weight for the separate stake bed. 57 will be close enough in weight.

I would say closer to 8k. Big bertha weights in at 7,860 lbs.

Manual is probably without the bed, rear bumper.

Thanks to all who responded I found the specs at www.gmheritagecenter.com .It said curb weight is 5200 then add a real stake bed 14' 1500 lbs .Iam est 6500-7200 lbs.
