New here with a '72 Blazer project

How's it goin' everyone? I recently over the weekend made a 17 year long dream of owning a first generation Blazer come true. It was worth the wait. Now the funny thing is that this K5 has been on here before! I bought it from a younger kid named Hunter who bought it when he was 14 and after bringing it home realized he had done a TON of work to it and bought almost every piece of sheet metal to repair the rust(which is everywhere....I live in Washington...lol). Well,I had ordered the original deluxe full wheel covers for it since that is what it came with and had them on my '70 C-10 and '72 Cheyenne CST. I'm a sucker for clean whitewalls,steelies and hubcaps. I will post a few photos I found of it when Hunter bought it and what it looked like on Saturday after I bought the whitewalls. It's now been cleaned and I started the detail work which I'm a pro at. I replaced a bunch of missing nuts and bolts today,had the chrome tips put on the duals,bought a center console for it for 50 bucks today(which was missing) and refurbished it minus the emblem which I don't have....yet. The Blazer goes in this Thursday to Sure-Fit for new "Brilliant" white leather seats with black accents. Once the rust is gone it will get the original black rubber mats again. The AC unit is going back in it as well. Enjoy guys...and gals. BTW-the side steps are long gone now. I took those off on Saturday and the rear mud guards also went to "mud guard heaven". Those hub caps(which are like new) are also coming off so if anyone needs those...just hit me up and we can work something out. They are never going back on this one.

Thanks Brian. Yeah-it's gonna be a process but I'm willing to take it on. It's a daily driver as it is. I don't plan on selling it so I've got some years to get it just right.

I did. I found it on here as well. The kid I bought it from decided to sell it after his tastes changed. He wanted an older Camaro with a 383 4 speed and he was looking at "drift cars". I'm not into drift cars at all but hey...my mind changed like the wind when I was 16. The craziest thing is that I bought it for 2,700 cash with all the replacement sheet metal including the entire right quarter panel with zero rust and he had bought the fenders,new dual exhaust,grille,steering wheel and new NOS chrome molding for the interior. He bought it for 3 grand before. I didn't know that until I found his old thread on here. I remember this Blazer sitting in a yard on the South Hill with Lewis and Clark stickers on the back window. I looked at it back then even. Never thought I'd own it though.

Looks like about where I bought mine at for the same price. Mine was
Gutted Though and no top. Ill be watching.
