Lets see your plain-janes/low-optioned/base-model/fleet trucks!
I did a search and cant find a thread like this already. There is one thread about low-optioned trucks, but all the photos are of the spids, which makes sense for that.
I want to see the trucks! Cs, Ks, 10/20/30. I like my trucks basic, spartan, frugal, business-like and plain. What have you?

One family owned truck until about 2 1/2 years ago. I have talked to the family that owned it, sort story, lady bought it new, never really used it, when she passed they kept it sitting in their garage.

Cool truck, thanks for sharing. I love blue with blue interiors, my favorite combo.
I thought there would be better response to this. Now I see why this thread idea did not exist before. Wouldn't be the first time Im way out there on my own.

Re: Lets see your plain-janes/low-optioned/base-model/fleet trucks!
I wish i had better pics of mine from back before it was a project. it was a basic K20. 350 and th350 were about the extent of added options. My grandpa liked the color and it was destined for use as a work truck, so no frills were necessary.
as always Joe has some really nice trucks! i especially love the K20 burb! mine, on the trailer headed to CO. I would bet a dollar my grandma has some better pics of this thing somewhere. |

Re: Lets see your plain-janes/low-optioned/base-model/fleet trucks!
Shawn, yours is looking great too! i wish i had color on mine, but ive been dragging my feet. i still need to get over to the bodyshop and patch one more spot. we had a serious bout of hail that swamped the body guy so mine has been sitting in the corner anyhow. I need to go wave some money at him to get him motivated(and get my butt over there to do the work i need to... need to install my bucket seat bracketry as well). i was told it should be no problem to have a green truck again this spring....
back on track this is the one i drive everyday. it had slightly more options than my green one. still a 350/th350, but had side moulding as well. i forgot to mention that the green one and this one both had gauges. it was also repainted from its original white with blue interior at some point(i added the sort of matching yellow front clip from a 67) |

Re: Lets see your plain-janes/low-optioned/base-model/fleet trucks!
It was originally medium blue. I tried to convince dad to paint it that color ...
It was a 250 6 cyl, 3ott, manual brakes and steering. It was radio an lighter delete. It did have the seven hole gauge cluster. It did have sun visors and a heater. It also had coil springs in the rear. Also had a 3.07 posi rear but that had been swaped in to replace the open 3.73 |

Re: Lets see your plain-janes/low-optioned/base-model/fleet trucks!
I think the correct hub saps would have been steel but the truck had aluminum unilug "hurricane" rims when we bought it and since these caps were nice AND cheap i used them. Originally the front bumper was painted white and it had a wrap around step bumper on back that i swapped for an nos chrome sport bumper. I also added the brush guard.

Re: Lets see your plain-janes/low-optioned/base-model/fleet trucks!
Yup my 67s the same way. 3 gauges, basic heater only. Not even the holes for the passenger mirror or the visor. 250 with a 4 on the floor. No trim. No holes for body trim, no stainless on the windshield, no swaybar and all black knobs. Ill try to post pics in the morning.
