por-15 vs powder coating
hey guys.. im knee deep into my resto.. and im at the point where i need to get my frame coated/painted...having trouble deciding which way to go...been doing research and i wanna know what yall guys think... i would apprciate any advice ..tips opinions yall got thanks

Powder coat is 100x better than Por15. It will actually adhere.....

If you can afford to powder coat it go for it,If its done right it will look like glass nice and smooth.Por15 will be a lot cheaper but the finish on it is kinda rough vs powder coating.Both will be rock hard once cured and take a beating.If its going to be a show truck powder coast it if its just a normal truck por15 it no one will see the frame.

I stripped my frame bare, applied por15 and top coated it with a satin. It laid down great and is just as durable in my opinion... if done right. I spilled brake fluid, pwr steering fluid, trans fluid, you name it on the frame and it wipes right off with no peeling.
I agree, if it's a show truck powder coat. If not, por15 will work great. Just make sure your frame is clean of dirt, grime, etc. And top coat it!

you can always sand/blast it and paint it with a good enamel paint
