62 C-10 bench seat question

Newbie from Windsor Ca, with a 1969 C-10 bench seat in my 1962 C-10 short bed stepside question. I want to use a 60-66 style seat cover (two tone/pleats)and I don't know if the frames are the same. I know the seat tracks are different height but the frame as best as I can tell are similar if not the same. I called Classic Parts of America and they didn't know either.
I wouldn't have known I had a 1969 seat if it wasn't for the build sheet tucked into it. The 1967-72 seat covers are mostly styled and have tooling patterns for those years.
I thought I would ask before I took a chance...Thanks

Re: 62 C-10 bench seat question

Welcome to the forum. Hope you find this a new home for all your Chevy truck stuff. Don't forget to post up some pics of your truck as everyone loves pics!

As for your question, I know I have put a '68 and '71 seats into my '65 and it was basically the same. I have never tried an earlier seat cover onto a later frame but given the seats fit identically, they have to be really close to the same. No idea if close enough to interchange covers though.

Anyone able to confirm this?

Re: 62 C-10 bench seat question

Thanks Chevy Mike,
I talked to a friend who is an auto upholster and he wasn't really sure also.
A $200 seat cover is more budget friendly than a $600 redo...
With that said I saw his work and its hands down the best work one could ever want and I can match the two-tone my way. Sooo I think I'll bite the bullet and drop it off next week. I have found that the interiors are he first thing people see and the wife ride sin..
I tried to post some build pictures some time ago and the upload kept failing even with reduce pixels. I'll keep at it and start an album with some of my other rides also
Take Care...Joe

That's real nice, I'm going with a two tone soft blue theme with a fabric inserts. I almost went with the tan truck though.
