K10 Front Driveshaft is worn, can it be fixed?

I have an 87' K10. The front driveshaft slip-joint is worn to the point where it is loose and I get bad vibration from it above 30 mph. Is this something that can be fixed somehow? I've found the entire replacement shaft is around $300 from Cardone.

Anything I can do besides just replacing it?

take it to a driveshaft shop, they will cut your old slip off & weld on a new one.
just had this done to the front shaft on my K30 last year.

Yeah have a local driveshaft shop build you a new one.If you can't find one look for big diesel shops most of them will do custom driveshafts.I think my last one was a little over 300 bucks but rated to 600hp and beefy.
