CL c20 not mine
WOW. C20 BBW V8 auto Custom Cab. This looks like it would be worth traveling for
http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4304379843.html says its a 63 but looks like a 62 might be worth trying to get a title for it Last edited by 63burban4x4; 01-25-2014 at 11:23 PM. |

Re: CL c20 not mine
Yeah, it's a '62 alright and it has an Auto Trans!!
Not for me, but pretty rare, especially for a 3/4 Ton back then. Bill

Re: CL c20 not mine
Damn... full-instrumentation cluster, factory clock, auto trans, V8, fan shroud is still there, Deluxe cab, aluminum grill looked pretty good, Deluxe heater, windshield washer, and the seat cover looks really nice.
For $2,500... That's almost worth buying a 1-way plane ticket... Driving an unrestored automatic home is sketchy though... I wonder what the bed wood and tail gate looks like? I also wonder how old that photo is... unless I'm mistaken, isn't Colorado under snow right now?

Re: CL c20 not mine
Thanks for posting 63burban4X4, clean original trucks are what keeps me motivated. Top of the line well optioned 3/4 tons from '62 are few and far between. Appears to have one original 3 piece 15"wheel and hubcap.

Re: CL c20 not mine
Looks like a sweet '62! Also I think it has a 283 if it is stock.

I also wonder how old that photo is... unless I'm mistaken, isn't Colorado under snow right now?[/QUOTE] I'm in the Front Range, and we have practically all bare ground here right now. Depends where you are in CO. If I wasn't knee deep in my Suburban, I'd be all over this. It looks so original to me! I did wonder, though, would a 62 have had an alternator? |

Re: CL c20 not mine
Not real sure about trucks, but Chevy cars didn't get the Alternator till '63. Although I believe it was an option back then, in certain applications anyway.

I thought that too, and frankly that was about the only thing on this truck that looked even remotely non-stock.....given the high option level on this one, if it was available, I'm not too surprised to see it. |
