4L60e Range Pinout
Looking for a pinout schematic for the single large plug 4L60e range selector so I can accommodate reverse lights. My column was originally 3-on-the-tree but I will be utilizing it to shift the 4L60e
2004 5.3L / 4l60e 4x2 Here is my single plug switch... Hope someone can help.... my PSI harness (never expected it too) did not come with a range selector plugin and tail off.... so need this for me backup lights... (and might even run the neutral safety switch too?) ~M

Re: 4L60e Range Pinout
I have no idea what direction each one is going... but I should be able to tone out now.....
Heres the info I found... not quite sure if the pink wires are 12V+ constant, or in the case of neutral safety.. 12+ Crank.... dunno yet. Re: 4L60e Range Pinout
There are no constant 12v wires to the range sensor, the pinks are 12v ignition power (key on).

Crank = neutral safety switch key on = reverse light supply voltage etc. somewhere in there has to be an inhibit for a Neutral/Park using only crank voltage. (IE: Not in park, or N... no voltage to starter solenoid)

Re: 4L60e Range Pinout
Yea if I had a new column.... I'd have a PNP & R light source built in.... but utilizing my 3-on-the-tree column... I do not.

Re: 4L60e Range Pinout
This seemed easier than trying to type it all out... You'll have a much more accurate NSS and back up lights using this sensor than the sloppy column mounted switch.

Re: 4L60e Range Pinout
I re-read the schematic and second guessed my self, but after testing it I was right the first time. This would be the way to do it, so ignore the first drawing....

For the neutral lockout going to the additional relay before the starter solenoid... first image you used #9 (PNP Switch Signal) The 2nd image you used #1 (Clutch Start Switch Signal) Difference? (They may do the same thing) PS: I owe you

Re: 4L60e Range Pinout
Im doing a 2004 5.3 with a 4l60e in a 72 2wd k5
Can I remove all the pinouts from the PCM that go to range sensor and wire it like the diagram or does the PCM need to receive any sort of signal from it to indicate what gear its in |
