20 gallon gas tank question
I have an optional 20 gallon tank and was wondering if these are hard to come by or were they no big deal. Just wondering if it would be worth the trouble to clean out.

Re: 20 gallon gas tank question
Is this in a suburban or truck? The reason I ask is I picked up a 66' 3/4 ton and it has a 21 Gallon tank. Not sure how rare, but the first one I've seen.

Re: 20 gallon gas tank question
It was from a pickup and covers the whole back of the cab.

Re: 20 gallon gas tank question
Must be the same tank. Mine is a chevy and the spid says 21 Gallon capacity. It's so big you can't put the seat all the way back. The cardboard cover is still in place on this truck. By the way, are you going to set up at the Portland swap again this year?

Re: 20 gallon gas tank question
I think all the re-pop tanks are 20 gallons.

Re: 20 gallon gas tank question
I think I will just use a small one , less gas to go bad and more room in truck.

Re: 20 gallon gas tank question
I'm gonna be installing a rear frame mount tank from Classic Parts or LMC in mine. Just for the fact it will take the fuel smell away in the cab as well as add more room.

Re: 20 gallon gas tank question
I just installed a 16gal universal tank from Tanks Inc between the frame rails of my 62. Very few mods made it an easy install.
